Visual Studio 2017 folder path changes

Reported by Adrian | February 9th, 2017 @ 05:32 PM

There are a few modifications to be made to both ReadMe and VS files (.props) to support VC 2017 as it has changed paths.

  • The folder for build customisations has changed from:

C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft.Cpp\v4.0\BuildCustomizations

to in VC 2017:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Professional\Common7\IDE\VC\VCTargets\BuildCustomizations

  • The folder for VSYASM has changed from:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\bin
and
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\bin\amd64

to in VC 2017:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Professional\VC\Tools\MSVC\14.10.24930\bin\HostX64\x64
and/or as appropriate
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Professional\VC\Tools\MSVC\14.10.24930\bin\HostX86\x86

Which also means that $CommandLineTemplate and thus $YasmPath needs to change from:

$(VCInstallDir)bin</YasmPath>

to something like:

$(VC_ExecutablePath_x86)</YasmPath>

Naturally one of the VC_ExecutablePath_Host_Target should be chosen based on the selected Target and Host - can someone work it out better?

Thanks!
